This error indicates that an error occurred with a Cisco Gigabit Ethernet WAN module while the device was setting the Gigabit Ethernet Media Access Control ( GEMAC) component of the Gigabit Ethernet WAN module in 9,000-buffer mode - the buffer mode that supports jumbo frames. This condition occurred on the port specified in the error message.

 

To resolve this issue, try the following in the sequential order:

  1. Reset the specified port -  if problem persist, go to (2)
  2. Reset the linecard - if problem persist, go to (3)
  3. Replace the linecard
